The Pune Miraj Doubling Project is underway. Here's an update on the progress: - Satara to Koregaon (11 Km): Some work has been completed, but there are still pending spots. Tracks have been laid at Targaon Outer before the station. - Koregaon to Targaon (21 Km): Ground leveling and blanketing work is partially completed. Some areas are still pending. Tracks laying work is almost done and top ballasting work is in progress. You can see the pole foundation on the second line. CRS (Commissioner of Railway Safety) approval can be expected soon. - Targaon to Shirravde (18 Km): Work is in full swing in this stretch. Tracks laying work is almost completed, and top ballasting work is ongoing. The alignment has been set to reduce sharp curves. CRS approval can be expected soon. - Shirravde to Shenoli (22 Km): Ground leveling work is completed at most places, and blanketing work is ongoing. Some minor bridge work is pending, and there are a few spots where ground leveling work is still pending. You can see OHE (Overhead Equipment) pole foundation pits in the Karad to Shenoli section. - Shenoli to Miraj (62 Km): This section is under construction.
