On my observation, Mailani Nanpara gauge conversion is not at all possible because route is 90% inside the forest and it will take lot of time together NOC. If they want,they should make diverted route from Nanpara to Mailani and made Nanpara Mailani metergauge as heritage.
Good example of Pilibhit shahgarh gauge conversion,to get the NOC it has taken lot of time.
