After AC Duronto, Rajdhani Train was tried for Lucknow but flopped.
Many cheaper options available.
Plus I just used Lucknow New Delhi AC Superfast Express and it was full. No use in disturbing a perfectly good thing.
Plus Bigger Cities of Uttar Pradesh already have their Dedicated Faster Fully AC Services to Delhi.

Saurabh rightly Said, in case of Uttar Pradesh Cities a Rajdhani would be a vain try in satisfaction of ego if nothing else.
If this is introduced then there would be Chaos.
Jodhpur will demand a Rajdhani (not able to fill it), Indore will demand one, so will Jabalpur (not able to fill it), so will Hisar, so will Amritsar, so will Una, so will Yog Nagari Rishikesh, etc etc.
All Rajdhani Trains need SM Facility at the end.
That's why Rajdhani meant for Raipur is till Bilaspur. Not that it matters as main occupancy is given by Raipur mostly.
Plus there was internal arrangement during formation of Chattisgarh, Bilaspur was originally meant to be capital but Raipur was chosen so Bilaspur pushed on having High Court. During Rajdhani Introduction, terminating at Bilaspur was more convenient as Raipur was relatively newer with less facilities. Heard it from Locals who had been there since Madhya Pradesh days during my visit in August last year.
And Dibrugarh Rajdhani is meant for North East Defence Personnel Connectivity. You'd see many users with Defence Travel Warrants in those trains.

The most deserving candidates for Rajdhani Train right now are Andhra Pradesh, 3rd One for Kolkata via Lucknow Route, 2nd One for Patna via Gorakhpur Route (shortest), Maybe Trivandrum via Coimbatore Route and North Eastern States whichever get connected through Railways.
