Don't send Amrita Express through Coimbatore. The train is already popular on the Palakkad Town to Pollachi route with lots of people getting on and off in Palakkad Town and Kollengode. Many folks use this train to get to the Regional Cancer Centre in Trivandrum. Originally, Amrita Exp used to go from Palakkad Town to Trivandrum and was later extended to Madurai after the gauge conversion along this route. Forget extending it, man! It'll just waste time and resources at the busy Coimbatore station, with trains coming and going. It would take at least 2 extra hours due to speed restrictions at Walayar Ghat and having to switch engines at Coimbatore. The Railway Board already shot down this idea from the Coimbatore Representatives for these reasons. It's better to ask for a new train on this route.
