The South Western Railway (SWR) has proposed to the Railway Board to increase the maximum speed of trains on the Hubballi-Bengaluru line from 110 km/h to 130 km/h.
Addressing a press conference, SWR General Manager Sanjeev Kishore stated, "To provide more consistency to the passengers, SWR has shared its proposal with the Railway Board to increase the speed limit from 110 km/h to 130 km/h as doubling and electrification works on the Hubballi-Bengaluru line have been completed."
