Went early morning to board Anand Vihar Terminal Ayodhya Cantt Vande Bharat Express, spotted this train.
It was maintained decent enough. Only a single 3A Coach.
Running such a short train for Delhi is literally wastage of resources and slots. If Longer Rake wasn't feasible for demand for Delhi, this train should've been introduced from somewhere like Gwalior, Jhansi

Problem here is Delhi Slots are most sought after by many places including but not limited to Dhanbad, Tatanagar, Asansol, Kharagpur, Kolkata etc.
Running a mere 12 Coacher Rake in Prime Time (night departure early morning arrival) is a sheer wastage of resources if nothing else.
There are actual people who'd literally die to have such slots at Delhi.

Coaches is a sheer wastage of resources.... inclusive of This train, Amritsar Vande Bharat, Ayodhya Vande Bharat and Khajuraho Vande Bharat. There's actual potential of filling much more from all of these places if timings are proper.
This one is actually limited by capabilities of Kotdwar and Najibabad for that much better option is as you suggested... extension to Sikar, Ringas, Hisar or someplace where PM could be done. So that rake get's additional Coaches.
