Huh, travelled multiple times in 2A but never paid attention to this detail. Eithercase, I dislike 3A because if someone gets the main bay berths, they are screwed. The top ones don't have enough space to sit properly and the middle ones I hate with a vengeance [had to travel 36 hours once from Agartala once].

2A would probably be the best. 3E or SL have less length in the side bays and you can never be sure[even after marking your preferred seat] what seat you get. 1A meanwhile gets a little too expensive for most routes.
