A tea stall vendor near the escalator mentioned that they sometimes work, speculating that the escalator may have been shut due to low activity on those platforms. The Public Relations Officer of the Prayagraj Division, NCR, confirmed that the escalators on platforms 4 and 5 are new and currently undergoing trial runs, hence operated intermittently for testing purposes. Three lifts were also found to be operational at the junction.
