Every train ticket in India comes with a unique 10-digit PNR number. This number helps passengers check the status of their ticket reservations. Often, when you book a train ticket, you might get a waiting list number instead of a confirmed ticket. You can check your PNR status here to see if your ticket has been confirmed. Our goal is to make this process simple and easy for our customers. Just enter your 10-digit PNR number in the box above to get the latest status.

stands for 'Passenger Name Record'. It is a unique ten-digit number that allows passengers to find out the status of their railway tickets. It also helps railway officials prepare reservation charts and identify passengers. This information is managed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) and includes live train PNR status and berth availability across all classes for the next 60 days. Every passenger who books a railway ticket, whether online or offline at reservation counters, receives a PNR number. This number contains essential journey details and passenger information, such as name, age, and gender.

How to Check PNR Status Online
To check the reservation status of your waitlisted or RAC train ticket PNR, follow these simple steps:

Note or copy your ten-digit PNR number, usually found on the top left side of your ticket.
Visit the PNR check page on the Zoop website.
Type or paste your PNR number in the search box and click the submit button.
View the current reservation status of your train journey.
Types of IRCTC PNR Status
Indian Railways, one of the largest railway networks in the world, serves millions of passengers daily. Understanding the various short codes or abbreviations used on a train ticket is crucial. Here are some common PNR status codes and their meanings:

WL – Waitlist: If a passenger’s ticket is not confirmed, they are assigned a waitlist number. For example, if your PNR number is WL 4, it means you are the fourth passenger on the waiting list.

RAC – Reservation Against Cancellation: If a ticket is not confirmed but a seat is allotted on a sharing basis under the RAC quota, the PNR status shows RAC followed by a number. For example, if your PNR number is RAC 5, it means you are the fifth passenger with an RAC ticket and will be allotted a shared seat on or before chart preparation.

CNF – Confirmed: If a passenger’s reservation status is confirmed, the PNR will show CNF. Confirmed tickets have a seat and coach number assigned. For example, if your PNR status shows CNF B4 31, it means your ticket is confirmed, and you’ve been allotted seat number 31 in coach B4.

CK – Tatkal Quota: Tatkal Quota is for passengers who need confirmed tickets on short notice. Tickets booked under the tatkal reservation facility show CK mentioned on them.

Conclusion
Understanding your PNR status is essential for a smooth train travel experience. By using Zoop, you can easily check the status of your train ticket online, saving you time and effort. Whether you need to know if your ticket is confirmed, waitlisted, or under RAC, Zoop provides a quick and reliable way to get the information you need. Keep your PNR number handy, and check your status regularly to stay updated on your travel plans.
