RailFans don't miss their train. Why? Because they go to the station HOURS before the actual departure of their Train - to watch OTHER trains depart. - Prince Maan

.... Final leg of journey from Kharagpur to Howrah .... A visit to Howrah Rail Museum .... final leg of my journey Howrah to Danapur

After spending a good time with my family and relatives at home, I got exhausted travelling half of Bihar in 4 days. It was now time to return to my work place faaaaar away from my home -- actually A Sweet Home :)
As the train Danapur Superfast starts from Danapur at 08:45 pm only so I was not able to check the status and I had to start early from home as it would be difficult and risky on the roads at night. At 10 pm I reached Hathida railway station and after inquiry from the clerk came to know that all the trains coming from Patna are standing at Patna due to some unknown reasons.

Pic 1 >>> ppl waiting for South Bihar Exp sleeping at the platform in chilly night hours.
Pic 2 >>> Howrah-Patna JanShatabdi arrives at PF#2 with 22509 HWH WAP4 (in pic 3)

10:30 pm the clerk sitting at enquiry counter alerted us at PAS that "patna se gadiyan khulne lagi hain. South Bihar Exp ke yahan 2 ghante me ane ki sambhavna hai. Danapur Exp uske piche aa rahi hai". OMG! that means my train will be delayed by atleast 2.5 hrs. suddenly a WAP4 honked loud from a distance. It was fast enough that I could hardly positioned myself with my camera. Patna-Kolkata Chitpur Garib Rath (a tiny green snake) thundered us at MPS. The speed was well above 100 kmph. All those were sleeping were now on their toes standing and murmuring... "kaun train tha bhai. laga ki le udega. bach gaye"
The manual enquiry counter clerk was giving prompt updates about the live running status of trains. 99% of the ppl waiting were to board South Bihar Exp and as the train was running late hence scolding the railways for the nightmare they were going through.
After some 15 mins another HWH WAP4 stormed us through the PF#1. there is no through line and all the trains were ramming main PF#1.
