As of now there is no proper information from RB where they are to be used. Some reports say they are future replacement of AC EMUs in metro cities in 50-200km routes, some say 200-300km connecting to metro and big cities with small towns .Nothing can be predicted with railways as they take political decisions in last minute. One thing for sure is Vande Metro will be manufactured inplace of AC EMUs from next FY.
