This shift marks the first time the Prayagraj Express will operate from Subedarganj instead of Prayagraj Junction, though several other trains have been previously shifted to Subedarganj, including the Udhampur Superfast, Sangam Express, Dehradun Express, Kanpur Memu, and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Memu.
