The final leg of doubling at Obra dam is inching towards completion in Chopan - Singrauli section of ECR under Dhanbad division.
This part is quite a bottleneck due to its geographic constraints, also over and above to it obra rail bridge is magnificent marvel to get finished over river rihand. Hoping its CRS to happen soon after Dusshera and before Deepawali.

This is indeed a welcome news.
Hopefully this enhance train handling capacity means greater rail avenues from CIC to the rest of the country.
For starters, the CIC section can easily act as third HWH-CSTM railway line, with the Grand Chord and the BNR line reaching train saturation!
