I totally agree with you but I did not mention this point on IRI since I've joined as IR would then scream at me saying .... "PAISA NAHIN HAIN, FUNDS NAHIN HAIN, IR LOSS MAIN HAIN AUR PEHLE KA PAISA FREIGHT CORRIDOR PROJECT(s) MAIN AKTKA HUA HAIN" ......... >;-P
Two problems can be solved with a single solution if a KOAA- UHP Daily SF (via ASR, PTK) is introduced.
It can have halts at Asansol, Dhanbad, Koderma- Gaya- Sasaram- Mughal Sarai- Varanasi- Lucknow- Moradabad- Saharanpur- Ambala- Jalandhar- Beas- Amritsar- Batala- Pathankot- Jammu- Udhampur.
The train would provide connectivity to both ASR and JAT, and also a fast connectivity on the neglected ASR- PTK route.
