shatabdi was on platform 7. There were 2 xtra 2S & 1 xtra CC coaches. JS was being attached to a Erode WDM3A-17803. See coupling photos. CX1, DX1, DX2 were totally CK coaches. The train pulled out at right time. I was in D8, right next to engine. I said wow! this is gonna be fun. What fun!!!
Passengers choked the train at Panvel. Almost all coaches of (the reserved JS) got converted into UR coaches. No place to stand. Take a look at entry no – 617862. Holidays, Rush hour Traffic. People had closed doors due to cold, they were squatting on floor. The pantry/storage part of the coach was also encroached upon. My problems started. I was planning to take photos of journey, scenery, etc. Forget photos, my immediate issue was to piss off (i.e, empty my bladder, not angry). Cold air was coming in thru windows. There are only 2 toilets (not 4) in D8 coach. My seat was at the engine end (no toilet). The only toilets were at the far end (opposite), & at that moment those toilets seemed like a mirage. I tried to read paper, doze off. Finally, I said ‘karo ya maro’. Slowly I moved forward, people shifting themselves, shoes touching them. I said sorry & moved on. Some stupid passengers had kept their windows open. The cold air made me shiver. My efforts paid off & as I closed the toilet door behind me, I said ‘Home run’. Whew, what a relief. I decided not to eat & drink for a while.

Wo! Mixed experiences there!
Great, a really useful one.
I like your writing style.
I'd suggest you something. Put all the parts under one blog in form of comments and provide hyperlinks to the pics and references. This'll make it easier to refer back and this one big blog can be really useful later on.
