Hi IRI
I want carry my newly purchased 39" LED TV with me in my same compartment. What is the procedure for that..? Someone said I have to take personal luggage ticket..?
If so.. How to take that ticket in chennai Egmore..? For your info I am travelling in Podhigai Express/12661 on 11th Jan 2013 SL class. Thanks

then pls go as said in the first link.. Go to luggage booking office., say you are carrying LCD tv within permissible limits and get the tickets.
Book in parcel office as luggage with existing ticket you have and ideal class is 2A where separate luggage compartment exists.
Success... I went to Egmore luggage office. Its near to clock room.. They just asked KG, source and destination station. Then they give the luggage ticket. For me fare is Rs.180. Thanks for all your support.
Thanks for the follow up.. did you took it in SL or in luggage van...
I took into with me same compartment only not in the luggage van.. TTR asked the luggage ticket then I showed that ticket.. that's all.. My 40" LED TV perfectly fitted in side upper seat..
