First of all the over all experience was good. When I went to leave them in the station (KOAA) after a certain point no visitors were allowed only passengers are allowed to get in, where their luggage were scanned and only then they were allowed to board the train. The journey till Gede (Indian border station) which was of apx. 2 hours was comfortable. where all the passenger had to get down from the train with their luggage for customs & immigration (the process was smooth) but the halt was of 2 hours as nearly 250 passengers were checked, after a short travel of 10 min the train entered Bangladesh Darsana (Bangladesh border station), where the same procedure was done by Bangladeshi officials for 2 hours. Rest of the journey was peaceful..
On the return journey it was much more easy as the customs check is done at Dhaka Cantt. and passenger only has to do the immigration at Darsana (Bangladesh Border Station) so no need to carry carry your luggage. But in Gede (Indian Border Station) the passengers has get down with there luggage for customs & immigration..
This not the standard e-ticket you get in India. Every Computerised Ticket is called e-ticket in Bangladesh. On-line ticket is N/A for oversea train in both countries. You have to go to Kamalapur (Dhaka), one of the most important station and should have a valid passport & visa to get the ticket.
Great One..seeing it for the first time thanks for making this happen Sandip :)
