i read here in this forum the moment HWH MAS mail comes in at MAS in the morning there is a scramble for seats in the coromandel due for morning. Are the reserved compartments of sleeper too subject to this. How about the AC III tier. Is there no control on NE bound trains.

Coromandel isnt NE bound...its SE bound...I think you'vent seen rush in TVC GHY...SER rush is nothing in front of that...SL,AC nothing matters...only finding a place to stand is only matters
thanks sir, it is panicky. Twenty years ago i used to go by TVC GHY and CORO to NJP or HWH by SL class. It was fun and there was no encroachment. The train journey had a quality to it. I used to encounter this problem in NJP to Delhi Tinsukia mail AKA brahmaputra mail where in the evening hours between 3 to 5 pm bihari passengers used to travel between arrah and patna. They insist that the reserved sleeping passengers get up to make way. I was a small boy and i got outraged and blasted them, the next moment the entire crowd of biharis pounced on me verbally and wanted to drag me to the platform and were talking about human feeeelingzzzz. All because one of them insisted my mother who was asleep get up to make way for UR passengers. Really this infection has spread to SER trains....

Many people en-route to Upper Assam from Southern and Eastern part of Indian take this train from Howrah...
