I want to travel from Kanpur to Bareilly..
But the trains are available only on Tuesday and Wednesday..
I am planning to leave on Friday, is there any other way of travelling other that going to Lucknow and catching a train from there to Bareilly..
Let me know the possibility.

Re# 65861-16
the main problem with the above itinerary is that connections on trains are very impractical. in the above example:
travel by Sabarmati, get down at Lucknow @ 12:50am
board Saryuyamuna @ 1.20am at Lucknow
Really? are you crazy, getting down from a train in the middle of the night with all my luggage, and change platforms in a new city. What if Sabarmati Express
...
is late, and I miss Saryu Yamuna? Now I have to look for hotel in Lucknow? What about my ticket - I will definitely not get a refund for missing Saryuyamuna.
What about new ticket? I will definitely not get reservation same day. So now having spent a whole night in a lucknow hotel and losing money on the ticket, I will be at a total loss!!
even if these connections work, there is a lot of tension throughout the journey. every time my first train is slightly late, i will be tense thinking whether I will make the connection.
this whole business of train connections is of good theoretical interest, and may be helpful to gauge options. but you'll have to be either an masti and adventure-seeking student with light luggage or really crazy to try some of these options !!!
Exception: In a very few cases, the railways take responsibility for making sure you make your connection. A long time ago, GT Express would go to Chennai, and after that to Bangalore - same coach was attached to another train.
