I want to make my journey on 10 Oct in this train.....but as of now all are waitlist

I know as I saw it in IRCTC booking information.
But I am sure they will accomodate these huge numbers of passengers somewhere probably by attching extra coaches...since there are no special trains runing to easy the rush during this time.
It is in this hope that I am thinking to book my ticket but no alternative is available currently.....should I try tatkal qota in other train.
