Why has the Recorded Message Service providing Train Running Status at each been discontinued. Why must the consumer pay a minimum of Rs.2.00 to get any information from 139. Do you know that one call to 139 may cost you as much as Rs.20.00 if you want to get your complete information.

IRI is very good I agree. But when the basic info of train running status is incorrect then what can IRI do ? Why cannot each station have a real time reliable recorded message service available through a land line which can be accessed by common man. Each station used to provide such a facility but that has now been discontinued to benefit some ulterior motives.
