After being India's first train to touch 120 km/hr, being the first train to get two AC 1st Class coaches on permanent basis, and also being the first Rajdhani to get 21 coaches, the 44 years old "Rajababu" can now proudly boast of this new achievement.
Location is Kamarkundu station, and loco in charge was GZB WAP- 7. The train was travelling through the Up main line of HB Chord line. And the line that runs over the bridge is the Sheoraphuli- Tarakeshwar- Arambagh line.
The train uses the Howrah- Burdwan- Asansol- Dhanbad- Gaya- Mughal Sarai- Allahabad- Kanpur Central- New Delhi route to cover 1451 kms in 17 hours with 6 halts enroute. Does Howrah- Dhanbad 259 kms non-stop run by skipping Asansol, thus making it the only non- Duronto train to achieve this feat. Sealdah Rajdhani halts at Durgapur and Asansol in between.
