Twin Festivities signified the ambience at NZM railway station on Sunday, April 14, 2013. The maiden arrival of newly operated Bi-weekly Tirukkural S/F Express (12641) graced the occasion on the auspicious Tamil New Year day at NZM at 20:15 Hrs. When the train arrived (though 02:15 Hrs. behind schedule) on P/F No.6, a celebration of sorts was witnessed over there with thunderous applause.
The crew members and station officials were honored with shawls and special courtesies and they were so overwhelmed that there were tears of joy in their eyes.
