As already observed by our Admins Jay Shah & Nazeer in prior posts #suggestionimplemented.
.
Details:
1. The Individual Train page now shows the full 120-day Calendar. The dates always start from Today, and go down for the next 4 months. (see Pic 1) There are 3 methods of refreshing:
a....
more... Select a date in the Calendar and click on Refresh Availability. The selected Date is highlighted with a Red border. The Availability status is updated in place, for the current Date as well as the coming week.
.
b. Go to any date row, and click on the Refresh link to refresh that particular row and coming week. The Availability status is updated in place, for the current Date + next few days.
.
c. The extreme right-hand column indicates "Freshness" of the status. When you update the status, the Freshness automatically changes to "0m old". This cached state is useful when the status is a high WL. Even if the status is very old for WL/regret, you don't really have to "Refresh" the status, since it will merely change to a "higher WL number" which may not be very useful. Instead you may go down the list to the Green statuses, and do the Refresh.
.
d. The cached status is cleaned out every day. So, the Freshness will never be more than 24 hours old.
.
e. The "rotating circles" have been eliminated - replaced with a simple red "wait". This was consequent to a suggestion by our Admin DB.
.
f. There is a new "Refresh FULL Calendar" button. Clicking on this will refresh that particular Trains Availability Calendar for the next 120 days. If that Train has a Limited Run, then whatever duration the train runs will be updated.
.
2. Within the Search Page:
a. When the First Search Page is brought up, the Availability is pre-populated for all Trains with NEXT date of run of that Train.
.
b. Same as above, the rotating circles have been replaced with a simple "wait".
.
c. When you expand each row, that Train's Full Availability Calendar can be seen. (see Pic 2).
.
d. You can also Refresh that particular individual Train's Availability Status by clicking on the Refresh link within each row.
.
3. A New 2-month Availability Calendar page has been created for All Trains between 2 stations (see Pic 3).
a. The Rows are the Dates going from Today forward till the next 2 months.
.
b. The Columns are all the Trains that run between the two stations.
.
c. Clicking on the Column header - Train Number - will take you to the individual Train's page. Hovering on the header will give you the familiar tooltip summary info for that Train.
.
d. At the start of each date Row is a "Refresh" link. Clicking on this link will Refresh the status of All Trains that Run on that Date, as well as the next Few days.
.
e. Hovering over each "Availability Cell" will popup tooltips giving details of the Availability Status.
.
f. You may ALSO click on each Cell, to update ONLY that particular Train's status for the given Date + the next few days.
.
g. The Calendar screen is very Large, may consume a LOT of your browser/computing resources. So please take care while Refreshing. To ease the load, a Train Filter link has been provided at the top, to limit the number of Columns. Other Filtering links will also be provided soon.
.
h. There is a Quota drop-down filter at the top. When you select any particular quota, the Calendar will automatically reflect the Status for That Quota ONLY.
.
As with all features, bugs will be fixed and further modifications will be made, as per feedback and usage.
.
Once again, thanks to all members for the suggestions and enthusiasm.
