No one will prefere Chennai Mail to go to Mumbai from Chennai. This mail mainly caters for intermediate pax and last option for MAS pax. Thanks.

I travelled in this train when it was running between MAS-DR & DR-MAS as Chennai Express in 1989. At that time people used to feel very proud of this train since it travels between these two metro in 24 hours.
It dont stops at Arakkonam and the first stop was Renigunta and dont stop at Mantralayam Road etc. It had very few stops when compared to now.
People used to fancy about this train. Even after 24 years it runs with the same speed.
