hi,
We want to take our pet cat along with us on train. She is a small 1 month old cat and we plan to keep her inside the basket all the time while in journey. I need to know if it is allowed and secondly do we need to carry any ticket or some receipt from railway for the same.

looks like i should carry her in the basket and just make sure TTE doesnt catch us. Incase worst case, i have to pay some fine and put it in the gaurd cabin.... Hope my conclusion is correct.
BTW from where to where you would like to travel with your kitten..
in some places we cant follow rule which were framed during british ruling where the queens etc used to carry puppies/pets with them..i have seen even bigger dogs being carried by passengers keeping near attendant box/coupe of a coach by bribing
from hyd to raipur via nagpur......didnt got direct tickets ...... that is why little apprehended.
Consult the nearest station for possibilities of carrying it along you as per procedure..Else need to take a risk carrying it in a basket since its small one objection may not be there as much..
