mamankad 5 blog postsTravelled on 4th May from Bangalore to Gandhidham by 2AC (16506)..the compartment was filthy, the toilets were dirty and both remained in the same condition till the journey ended- for 44 hours nobody entered the compartment for any cleanup..what are we paying for ??

the TTE was pretty rude including the attendants- there were no napkins as usual- my simple question is why we have to always fight for such basic amenities?
Well, by the time one reaches Ahemdabad, your journey is nearly 2/3 over so it would be meaningful for to clean the bogies, toilets once every 12 hours instead of once every 36 hours
What i have noted is that where there are no OBHK facility trains are cleaned at certain stations. until OBHK was there in RaptiSagar express the train was cleaned at ED when i used to travel from MAS to PGT. Well in your case it might be negligence from staff and a complaint should have been lodged and i am sure the cleaning staff at the next station would have done the job. You are also right as to why we should fight for basic amenities but on the other side i also feel that as a responsible citizen if we had complained the other pax would also have been benefited.
