Pamban Cantiliver Bridge at a speed limit of 10 KMPH hauling the Trichy - Rameswaram Passenger heading from the main land to the Island of the sacred Rameswram.
This bridge is a real Marvel and a master piece The 2.3 KM long bridge built over the Palk Strait was opened for traffic in 1914 and was running on Meter Gauge. The line was converted to Broad Gauge in 2007.The bridge is maintained by the Southern Railways Zone of Indian Railways.
