I have E Ticket till Egmore. But i want to go pazhavanthangal, so i alighted at tambaram and went by EMU. Wheather i want to know I have to buy ticket for EMU from Tambram to pazhavanthangal. because somebody saying E-ticket is not valid. While alighted means the validity also over @ Tambaram. kindly clarify.

I guess e-ticket can't be used for general travel as they can't verify if the ticket is valid or cancelled.
E-ticket should be used only in the train and sector for which it is booked.
