today i booked a tckt trough irctc in 2840 howrah mail 1AC .though my tckt is confirmed but berth no not given it shows 0000..wt does it mean?

in 1A even if your ticket is confirmed , seat no is not allocated. it is done during chart preparation. you have a confirm ticket, so chill and relax. on the day f the journey 4 hrs before departure u can check the pnr status and you will get seat allocation, else since 1A is limited (1/2 coach) go to the station and check the reservation chart , seat allocation would be there
