How do the railway decide to attach a pantry car in the train as some trains having long run does not have any while trains comparatively short run have pantry , how do the rly decide...??
as per my knowledge, catering contract most done depend on frequency of train (number of days run in a week) and then distance. if the train is running daily for more than 1000km then surely it will have pantry. but same train runs weekly then there is less chance of pantry. as contractor normally does not get good return running pantry in weekly train as IR charges them alot
but gondwana is a daily popular train and had a long run even it does not have even the MP sampark kranti has.....
