I am physically challenged person. In IRCTC web site, there is no facility to book tickets in Handicapped quota. Will the facility be available any time soon? The authorities may ask the genuineness of the applicant (whether the person is really handicapped), but this can be confirmed easily while traveling, the way they use to check the ID Cards for normal passengers. Simply they can verify the original certificate of the Handicapped persons and collect a xerox copy of it. As of now, in railway counters, the officials used to do the same thing. So the same process can be done while traveling too. For Ex: How Sr. Citizens are allowed to book the tickets online and their genuineness are verified during travel, the same way we should also be allowed to book online and travel. at almost all Railway Stations PH have a designated counters.but Sir for Ph ticket copy of Doc Certificate is necessary at the time of booking hence not available thrue eTicket.
U r correct. Still the TTE can get the copy of the doc certificate while traveling. correct? so it is possible but the authorities(in blr, chennai, delhi) i have called did not give proper response.
No Sir copy is needed at booking windows first. Concession factor!!
