can we book tatkal ticket online if so what are the timings and how many days in advance and do we have to upload our id proof . also if debit card can be used. are tgere any extra charges for tatkal and online booking charges

You need to book Tatkal One day before from 10 AM onwards for a train starting from its originating station.Its not required to upload ID proof just mention ID proof details and same should be produced to TTE while checking ticket..No extra charges for using debit card,normally Ticket fare+Tatkal charges+IRCTC charges+Bank PG charges will be collected.
