an alternative route avoiding the already congested Chennai area. People traveling to aforesaid industrial
centers and other offices in the area would get a cheaper mode of transportation. Government of Tamil Nadu have
also consented to share 50% cost of Sriperumbudur-Guduvancherry with Spur to Irungattukottai new line. It is
therefore proposed to take up this work at an anticipated cost of Rs.83,900.00 lakh with an outlay of Rs.10.00 lakh
during 2013-14
