When this train was introduced, it used to cover the distance within 5 Hrs, that too when there was single line between Whitefield and Kuppam. Now it takes 6 Hrs. It had only 2 stops BNC and KPD. Now it increased. When it was introduced this train never arrived on time at SBC. The main motto of introduction of this train to enable business people to rtn on the same day. Now it is taken over by Shatabdi (2027 / 28 )
All new trains suffers with this tragedy when they became old.
But it not in the case of 2657 / 58 mail, both ways it maintains time. It is very much older. Infact it reaches before time in Madras & even in Bangalore it arrives ahead of its scheduled arrival
