Most of us have seen once the train arrives at the originating station, the railway people stick chart of passengers to the respective bogies, just near to entry/exit gate.
As per me Railways needs to find another solution for this as the paper sticking to the compartment does not looks good, and they are worsen once they are removed.

Good that people are concerned about the aesthetics of the coaches. The space near exit/entry is earmarked for sticking of reservation charts. Even advertisements in coaches does not look good.
Agree with you, in trains like Rajdhani/Duronto/Shatabdi they have separate windows (Glass Box) where they displays the chart.
Even in rainy season chart is getting wet and unable to read.
sometimes while rush the list is also torn/taken by some passenger
It should be pin'd up in a safe/visual box for benefit for all

As far as the advertisements are concerned, well it is fine until the Railways are getting revenue from it. At some places you will see the advertisements on LHB coaches looks good.
But sticking of paper charts outside the coaches is unsatisfactory. The concerned persons have to look for options like LED etc.
