Hi everyone. Today was yet another rail fans meet at sealdah, a huge one, with as many as 10 railfans assembling. This, by any means, being the largest in terms of people gathering...but this meet being a bit different from other meets. There were trains and passengers, locos and coaches, durontoes and bhagirathis, emus and demus for sure...but, this was my farewell meet at kolkata. Me, leaving kolkata, to pursue higher education in bangalore. Was a railfan since unknown...

period, but iri gave my passion a definition...a company of like minded people helps...atleast, to the extent of u not considering yourself weird amongst the society...thanks to moderator for giving us a platform for discussing and sharing our views/snaps/creations...was a bit late in coming sealdah, where all the railfans were patiently waiting, and due to some commitments, had to leave early too...but enjoyed the company of kolkata railfans to the core. Was a delight being in kolkata. A post of BG, remains incomplete, if there is no mention of the ever so famous patipukur,which I ll miss for sure. Had it not been for the railfans, my passion would be like a sharp arrow with no direction. Bid good bye to the company with heavy heart and watery eyes. My heart ached, for the ten years I spent in this town, for the three years of my association with kolkata railfans, for the warm response I received from this ever friendly town...but alas...life goes on...you know what friends, delivering a farewell speech is the toughest thing in life...and i discovered it today...
