I happened to travel in lokmanya tilak express from madurai to renigunta. Thogh the coaches looked very old the travel was very comfortable in second class berths with practically no jolts and shaking from side to side. I could sleep well that night. In the return direction I travelled by III ac in pandian express a prestigious train. unfortunate the travel was troublesome with heavy jolting/shaking from side to side with the cushion in the berth was bucket shaped and breaking the joints in the back. I preferred III ac because of my earlier travail/difficulty while travelling in II class berth in pandian. Even then the result was the same for both the classes. Are the rakes of pandian express are very old and outlived its life. Or the rakes of central railways far more than southern railways. Why...

I dont think Pandiyan has CBC rakes. Only Kaniyakumari had CBC rakes in that route and later it was moved to Kaveri.
I am not sure about the current scenario.
Also Pandiyan has FC coach and dont think FC is made recently with CBC coupling.
The rake could be very old since i dont remember any long daily running train in MS-MDU section with...

May be.. Just hearing the blogger for such Jolts i was thinking it could have got CBC...
Will the SR take note of this inconvenience and take remedial steps early?
