Mau-Anand Vihar Express will be maintained at GKP and the empty rake after reaching Mau will be sent to GKP after 30 minutes covering 138 kms without passengers with loco pilot and guard taking minimum 3 hours because of traffic on BTT-GKP line and single MAU-BTT section.
Why did not they simply started this train from Chhapra/Gorakhpur ? Again the empty rake will travel from Gorakhpur till Mau to depart as Mau-Anand Vihar Express. We have limited resources and wasting like this is just not acceptable.

Mau-Manduadih Passenger ?? I guess Manduadih is in opposite direction while the NER press release says it will go to GKP after 30 minutes for maintenance. Moreover, a passenger with SL, 3AC, 2AC coaches ???
No. This is going to be funnier than this. The same rake will depart after 'forty minutes' as MAU-ANVT. Check the days of run. It arrives and departs from MAU on the same days.

NO. ANVT-MAU EXP will arrive at Mau on every Tuesday and Saturday......while MAU-ANVT EXP will depart on every Thursday and Sunday. After reaching Mau, empty rake will go to Gorakhpur on every Tuesday and Saurday. It will be sent to Mau on every Thursday and Sunday from GKP. 138 kms is not a small distance for just a maintenance run of a train. That too without passengers ...but loco pilot and guard. Wastage of man power and resources.
This is not going to last longer. Soon, NER will realize its not a cakewalk transferring an empty rake between Mau and Gorakhpur on a bi-weekly basis , that too on busy GKP-BTT section. Soon, this train will be extended upto CPR/GKP.
