#Name: Cheran was ancient ruling Dynasty from 3rd century BC upto 12th Century AD. Cheran comes from Tamil word Charal, and the region where it ruled was called as Cheralam which later became Keralam or Kerala. This dynasty ruled Kerala, Coimbatore and Salem regions. Since train goes to Coimbatore, it was named as Cheran Exp.

It's doing well right from introduction , The AC chair car coach is totally different Its almost like wooden boxy type coach with large square widows. It starts from MAS sharply 6 am and arrives CBE around 12.40 to 01.15. It's extended to PGT but not made a single trip. In those days student's power is more than politicians. Students role in agitation for not extending is more important.
