AFAIK, a Crew of Freight or Passenger, never crosses 50 K too in a month.
And yes, for Freight Crew, its 6-7 hrs working time and exceptional in cases to go around 10-11 hrs. For Passenger crew, its the same process as the Freight.
each of them get a roaster per month and tat's how they work. Exceptional for leaves, sick leaves, casual etc.

Freight/Passenger Loco's crew isn't an easy work.
And talking about Yards, there are separate management in a yard too. if necessary, the Yard Crew take over, shunt the train to the necessary loop/line/section n leave it. Every one gets minimum 6-7/8 hr duty.
