A very old train of SE railway. After many years two AC coaches has been added. But would be great if stoppages are reduced and pantry car is also added. I think it is neglected severely by the railways
Yes, adding a Pantry car would be a nice initiative, but reduction of stoppages might not materialize...
also 2-3 Sleeper coaches can be reduced from this supercrawler to add 2-3 General Unreserved coaches, as due to lack of more Unreserved coaches many unreserved passengers spill out to Sleeper coaches... just imagine the train with 81-82 stoppages is just having 2 General coaches and 2 SLR coaches... It seems these halts are uselessly given...
Friends what are your views regarding adding some General coaches...

This route has so many good trains some of them with fairly LESS stoppages
Let there be atleast 1 train which could serve large number of passengers who otherwise have no connectivity

This train was one of few trains which used to run from Kurla Terminus in way back 1996 when it was newly built along with Pawan Express and Coimbatore Express, I can very faintly remember my first ever outstation train journey to my native place when I was just 4 yrs old... at that time 18029 used to depart at 22:50 Hrs (Kurla Terminus) and reach on 3rd day at 15:30 Hrs (Howrah)... while 18030 used to depart at 11:30 Hrs (Howrah) to reach on 3rd day at 05:15 Hrs (Kurla Terminus)...

Yes i do agree. The train no doubt has improved a lot , the timings i must admit have reduced as compared to earlier times, though there is further scope of improvement
Yes, addition of a Pantry car 'll' improve it's status a bit and this train needs good cleaning by Santragachi (SRC) coaching depot...
