I have reserved 6 tickets from YPR to SC on 8th August 2013(Journey Date: 11 Oct 2013) in Reservartion counter. I gave my berth preferences as 2LB,2MB,2UB. And I also noticed availabilty is around 620 seats when i am reserving. But ticket was booked with 2MB,1UB,1SL,1SM,1SU. I have asked the reservation clerk, even its showing the availabilty as 620 why cant they give you the berth perferences as requested but I didnt get proper reply from booking clerk. Can any one help me out on this, how to escalate this to higher officials/to whom should I approach and to make sure this should not happen in future.
In most of the cases, the berths are allotted based on the passenger age and in a random manner where in the seats may not be in a order. But still booking clerk is having option to allot it in the required fashion as around 620 seats were available. I got once 2UB allotted for similar train from PRS at WFD.
