As per the 2011-12 railway budget announcement MXN shed was to be augmented. In a tender notification of NFR in 2012 it was specified as EMD shed, but still speculations have their space whether it will be passenger loco shed or freight. During MG days MXN was a steam shed which was situated at the eastern end of the station between the main line and the JTTN loop. But for a BG DLS that space was not at all sufficient and hence new space had to create. Here are the pics from the newly created site beyond the PF3.
