Boarded the train from Pune on 06-Oct. About 30 min prior (2:45PM) to scheduled departure (3:15 PM) the platform was changed from PF 1 to PF 5. As all the people started to move to PF 5 there was another train that had come in at PF4 which caused utter chaos and stampeed on the overbridge. This extremely horrifying experience continued for over 20 min and surprizingly noone at the railways seem to have realized this ! Fortunately we all made through and were able to board.
Learning: If you see a crowd on the overbridge then turn back and better figure out a alternate overbridge/rail line crossing.

I fully agree with your learning experience and faced a similar situation in Pune station overbridge recently.
