Theoretically, 9 hrs is is enough to cover this much distance, but practically it is not possible.There are number of reasons for that.
1.This train covers most of its journey on single line diesel track, so it has to wait number of times for crossing.
2.Locomotive change is needed at Pune.Hence some time goes here also.
3.Even though it is non stop, technical stoppages...

are there for every duronto for loco. change, crew change, loading food, etc.
Hence, as compared to other trains on this route which take a minimum of 13.35 hrs, this train would take 12 hrs.
AND.....source of my info. is Trains At A Glance 2010-11.

true... in my opinion the whole route will be hauled by diesel loco and there would not be any change (we've seen that a Kazipet loco hauls 2701-02/7031-32/1019-20)
Secondly, I would see technical stops @ Wadi, Sholapur, and Pune as these are the crew changing locations as of now:
Wadi: SC crew hands over to Sholapur Crew
Sholapur: Not sure if there would be...

Pune: Sholapur crew hands over to Pune Crew
These may be the technical stopages for both up and down train.
It would be great if this is run on Weekends say Fri Mum-SC and Sun SC-Mum.
