I have recently noticed that the number of births / seats shown on IRCTC changes in a moment when we proceed to book and pay ( with in a few seconds)
Well if you are trying to book on dates around the Diwali time, then it is not much unsual, as for Diwali rush, seats do fill fast and the availability status changes quickly, can't figure out any other reason for the same...
Obviously we ourselves are not the ones booking many would be trying to book...So chances of it changing if multiple booking are happening at same time.
