Brake Luggage Van is the place which has Guard Cabin n also the place to hold heavy luggage like huge boxes, bikes, etc.
And it doesn't make much noise.

It is the where the rats meet and dine and drink and share experiences of their stay in different coaches.
In the guard cabin have Brake for the train ( when are needed for stop train, guard can apply break ) .

I saw in Shatabdi train that the Brake Luggage and Generator Van is single integrated coach and it had the generator that was extremely loud. I am clear on the Brake and Luggage explanation.
What is the function of that loud generator?
