I had read in one of the forum post that soon IRCTC would be soon allowing change of boarding point while booking e-ticket so that travellers can take advantage of ticket availability in bigger station having more quota (albeit at a higher price), thereby ensuring confirmed tickets. Can any of you please advise whether the facility has been started ?
And if Yes, would be highly greatful if related url of the news / press release can be given?

And one more thing....now there is no restriction as for choosing boarding point within next one or two stations. It can be done for any station falling in the route. Isnt it ??

Yes It can be done for any station en-route where the train has official commercial halt.
