There might be an extension of the experimental halt to reconfirm their findings whether it meets the railway requirements or not. Normally the number of long distance tickets issued would be the criteria and the parameters for evaluation would be decided by the railways. Even so the railway has reserved its right -whether to stop a train at a station or not-- this would mean you cannot question the railways on this. This is mentioned in the Time Tables also. According to the datas from Tirur railway station, the ticket collections for 2977 is not a big success. So there is a 99% chance to cut the halt Tirur from, 2011 February 14 onwards...
